The local take on the international “escape room” trend opened this month inside an old Northeast Albuquerque charter school. Not in a jail cell, of course, but in specially designed quarters stocked with clues and puzzles intended to assist occupants as they try to make their exit. The $194/nt pre tax rate is not worth this property, especially in the middle of the week in the summer.Nsert your content hereetting locked up is now a form of entertainment in Albuquerque. The larger bed pillows, clean towels and bright bathroom are positives. Funny how another reviewer noted the same thing. Of course the batteries were low in the remote control for TV. Luckily I pack flip flops for skanky rooms like this. Based on the carpet dinge, it's not cleaned frequently. Immediately upon walking in, the room smelled like a dog rolled in Frito chips. I think it's irresponsible to guests to not notify that the room they are being placed in is "pet friendly". One would think that the management would drive over to Costco and buy cases of water to hand out. Several people asked for water, which they were out of. The management and staff seemed indifferent to any of this. Coworker was offered a portable evaporative cooler, which makes the room damp. The window/wall AC units weren't very efficient either. Very difficult to get any work done with co-workers. 4th floor was 90 degrees in the hallway and 3rd floor was 80, per the hallway theromstats. During a very hot temperature week, the air conditioning went out throughout the public areas of the hotel. There's a reason why this hotel is listed at #44. Again, Hilton Garden Inn Needs to Post a Visible Sign for all patrons of the Charge for Continental Breakfast.… I loved that it had an ironing board & iron, as well. The bathroom was spacious & had the softest towels ever. Great storage, work area, chairs, table, etc. They took a small space & maximized everything in the room to meet all our needs. The room was stellar, very clean, had a fridge, micro, coffee & the comforts of home. I did still give it an excellent rating, because everything else was great. We were very disappointed in that aspect, as the rooms are not cheap. Hilton Garden Inn needs to post a sign as to what the policy is.right where the food is located, which was there with the free coffee as well. Had we known that when we checked it, we would have eaten right next door at Cracker Barrel. I'm sure he was uncomfortable with the situation, as well. He said that was okay, since we didn't know & we didn't need to give it back, but he wanted us to be aware of the charge in the future. It was too late, so we offered to not eat anything & we offered to forgo it & give it back to him. A tad embarrassing, but no other diners were there at the time, so we were thankful of that. At that time, a very nice guy came out & informed us of the charge. We both got coffee which is complimentary. When we went down to get Continental Breakfast, my hubby put 2 little sweet rolls on his plate. Unfortunately it was not conveyed that there was a cost. We were in shock, we assumed it was included.as we were told the evening before that there was breakfast in the morning. This was a great place to stay, minus the fact that we were told that continental breakfast was $13. I don't care if the place is 100 years old, as long as it's clean. I'm rather OCD (LOL).so cleanliness is my thing. This place is very nice, very clean & has an all around great atmosphere & location.
